THE Aesthetic Show™ offers a world-class faculty comprised of thought leaders and leading practitioners in the aesthetic community. These seasoned professionals have both the strong theoretical understanding and practical experience to assist our attendees in the development of new ideas and services for their patients.

Various medical professionals in the fields of cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, otolaryngology, oculoplastic surgery, general surgery and practice management provide education in a wide variety of didactic, live patient and interactive formats.

THE Aesthetic Show also provides real world examples and case studies to help attendees in all stages of an aesthetic practice. A collection of business leaders both in and outside of the aesthetic community will present and discuss various best practices as well as financial and general practice management topics to help aesthetic medical practices and their staff reach the next level of success.
Glynis Ablon, M.D.
Dr. Ablon is a board certified dermatologist who completed her training at Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Ablon is an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), practicing at both UCLA and LCMH. She is active in clinical research and one of the first published authors in the U.S. in mesotherapy. Dr. Ablon is an on-camera medical consultant for E! Entertainment, ABC, CBS and Lifetime. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Liposuction Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Syed Amiry, M.D.
Dr. Amiry is a board certified, leading expert in the field of dermatology with over seven years experience in cosmetic dermatology. He received his medical degree from AT Still University (Kirksville, Mo.), and completed his dermatology residency at Geisinger Health Systems (Danville, Pa.). Dr. Amiry also completed specialized training in cosmetic, laser and skin cancer surgery (Mohs) under the guidance of a world renowned team of dermatologists. He also practiced at the Murad Medical Group (Los Angeles, Calif.). Dr. Amiry currently serves on the adjunct clinical faculty at Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine (Pikeville, Ky.) and is a trainer for Alma Lasers.

Tanya A. Atagi, M.D.
Dr. Atagi, a board certified and fellowship trained plastic surgeon, received her plastic surgery training at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (St. Louis, Mo.) and specialized aesthetic fellowship training in Denver, Colo. Now highly regarded in her field, she has published papers on nerve regeneration, implantable medical devices, as well as breast enhancement and the safety of implants. In consecutive years since opening her practice in 2003, Dr. Atagi has been honored by her physician colleagues as a Top Doctor in Denver’s 5280 magazine.

Roger E. Bassin, M.D.
Dr. Bassin graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University (Washington, D.C.) and was accepted into the George Washington University medical school. After finishing his medical education, Dr. Bassin completed a residency in ophthalmology at the prestigious Mt. Sinai Medical Center (New York, N.Y.). Following this, Dr. Bassin further trained in eyelid and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Illinois – Chicago, as well as liposuction, with some of Chicago's most renowned plastic surgeons. Dr. Bassin is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Society of Liposuction Surgery.
Martin Braun, M.D.
Dr. Braun has the distinction of being the first physician in Canada to perform laser hair removal over 14 years ago, and he currently injects more BOTOX than any other practitioner in Canada. Dr. Braun received his medical degree from the University of British Columbia and completed his core surgical training at Vancouver General Hospital (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada). Dr. Braun has devoted his practice exclusively to cosmetic rejuvenation procedures since 1996 at the Vancouver Laser and Skin Care Center.

Daniel Cassuto, M.D.
Dr. Cassuto is a board certified plastic surgeon with a private practice in Milan, Italy. He also serves as professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Catania, Italy. Dr. Cassuto is a member of many European and American societies and is a popular speaker at meetings throughout the world. He has presented more than 150 scientific presentations on a wide variety of aesthetic topics.

Renee Cobos, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Cobos is a board certified dermatologist who has practiced in California for 19 years. She received her doctorate in medicine from the University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, N.M.) and completed a three year residency in dermatology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Cobos specializes in general dermatology including the treatment of all skin, hair and nails disease; skin cancer surgery; cosmetic dermatology and laser medicine, including cosmetic skincare and rejuvenation for the face and body. Dr. Cobos is an assistant clinical professor in dermatology at UCI Medical School (Irvine, Calif.) and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Candace Crowe
Candace Crowe has worked exclusively with plastic surgeons throughout the U.S. and Canada since 1999, helping them with patient education and marketing materials. Ms. Crowe built her firm based on an understanding of plastic surgery patients and as president and creative director of Candace Crowe Design (Orlando, Fla.), she listens to plastic surgeons’ marketing needs, then conceptualizes and produces spectacular results. REVENEZ, their suite of expert marketing tools, leads the way with educational videos for websites, customizable waiting room loops, patient education CDs and e-mail campaigns, completing clients’ total brand image with web design, search engine optimization, brochures, advertisements and folders.
Steven H. Dayan, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Dayan is a board certified facial plastic surgeon and national physician educator. After graduating from Washington University (St. Louis, Mo.), Dr. Dayan attended the University of Illinois Medical School (Chicago, Ill.) and served as chief executive resident in his final year. He also completed a facial plastic surgery fellowship. Dr. Dayan has authored four books, including Fillers, Neurotoxins and Beyond, and his most recent book, Thrive, which has initiated a national series of physician training seminars. Dr. Dayan is the founder and medical director of True Skin Care Center (Chicago, Ill.), True University, a state-accredited educational center for aestheticians, and IF Marketing, a medical marketing company.

Klaus Fritz, M.D.
Dr. Fritz is the director of two dermatology and laser centers in Landau and Kandel Germany, a consultant and lecturer in laser dermatology at the University Clinics in Bern, Switzerland and Osnabrueck, Germany. He is also the founder of a cosmetic and skincare company specializing in cosmetic dermatology and lasers. Dr. Fritz serves as president of the European Society of Laser Dermatology (ESLD); secretary general of the German Dermatologists Association; president and organizer of various national and international congresses (Dermatologische Praxis, Innovationsseminar, ESLD, 5 CC) and; a member of several editorial and scientific boards.

Dore J. Gilbert, M.D.
In practice since 1979, Dr. Gilbert is a dermatologist, consultant, teacher and sought after speaker of laser, light and radiofrequency solutions for aging skin, rosacea and acne. Dr. Gilbert is the hands-on medical director of Newport Dermatology and Laser Associates in Newport Beach, Calif.

Richard M. Goldfarb, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Goldfarb graduated with top honors in surgery from the Finch University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School (Chicago, Ill.). He completed his surgical training at Northeastern Ohio College of Medicine (Rootstown, Ohio) and completed additional training in cosmetic surgery in the department of plastic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, Pa.). He also trained at prestigious Yale University (New Haven, Conn.) and he has 20 years of surgical experience, including liposuction and laser lipolysis. Dr. Goldfarb is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians.

Robert H. Gotkin, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Gotkin, with offices in Manhattan, Greenvale and Long Island, N.Y. is a premier cosmetic surgeon renowned for his expertise in liposculpture, body contouring and aesthetic facial surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the International Society of Clinical Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Gotkin also serves on the medical council of The Skin Cancer Foundation. Dr. Gotkin is also co-author of Instant Beauty: Getting Gorgeous on Your Lunch Break.
Miles Graivier, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Graivier of North Atlanta Plastic Surgery (Roswell, Ga.) is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Graivier has authored numerous scientific papers on dermal fillers as well as other subjects. He also pioneered the use of wire subcision as a tool to correct lines, folds and scars. Dr. Graivier has been interviewed numerous times by CNN, FOX and ABC News, as well as magazines including: Allure, Vogue, Italian Vogue, More and New Beauty.
William F. Groff, D.O.
Dr. Groff graduated from Penn State University (State College, Pa.), receiving a B.S. in biology and vertebrate physiology. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Groff completed a surgical internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and was selected into the dermatology program. During his residency, he trained under one of the top cosmetic laser surgeons in the world. Dr. Groff is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He has published articles in peer-reviewed dermatology and plastic surgery journals and travels worldwide to lecture on the latest advancements in laser surgery.
Sanjay Grover, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Grover is a board certified plastic surgeon and a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of the Rhinoplasty Society, an organization dedicated to the open exchange of innovative ideas and techniques concerning rhinoplastic surgery. Dr. Grover received his post graduate training in general and plastic surgery at Stanford University (Palo Alto, Calif.). Following his training at Stanford, Dr. Grover completed an additional elective fellowship in aesthetic and oculoplastic surgery. Dr. Grover strives to provide each of his patients with both personalized attention and surgical excellence and he stays well-versed in the latest plastic surgery and laser techniques.

Warren Tracy Hankins, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Hankins has been practicing in Las Vegas, Nev. since 2004, and is chief of plastic surgery at Sunrise Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Hankins completed his medical training at Indiana University (Bloomington, Ind.) and his undergraduate training at Davidson College (Davidson, N.C.). He received broad training at the Grand Rapids program, where he worked closely with a premier breast surgeon. Dr. Hankins is also well-versed in cutting-edge cosmetic surgery techniques and is a frequent guest on television shows and networks.

Monte O. Harris, M.D.
Dr. Harris is double board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Harris received his M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (Cleveland, Ohio). While undergoing post-graduate training at the University of Michigan, Dr. Harris completed over seven years of subspecialty surgical training. He furthered his expertise with a year long dedicated fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Harris is co-founder of Cultura Cosmetic Medical Spa (Washington, D.C.) and he recently launched the Center for Aesthetic Modernism (Chevy Chase, M.D.). He is a clinical assistant professor at both Georgetown and Howard Universities.
Yoram Harth, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Harth graduated magna cum laude from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv University (Ramat Aviv, Israel). He received his training in the department of dermatology at Rambam Medical School in Haifa, Israel and served as a research fellow in the department of dermatology at the Columbia University Medical Center in Manhattan, N.Y. Dr. Harth is a pioneer in advanced uses of phototherapy and photodynamic therapy and a recipient of the Wall Street Journal innovation award for his part in the development of acne phototherapy.

Mark Kofford, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Kofford practices aesthetic medicine at the Riviera Laser Studios in Dana Point, Calif. His approaches to youthful facial restoration and natural aesthetic enhancement were acquired through over ten years of practice, training and teaching through the U.S., Asia and Latin America. His clinical experience and understanding of Erbium, traditional CO2, short pulse and long pulse fractional CO2 resurfacing technologies give him unique insight into many of today’s emerging topics and discussions.

Jay M. Kulkin, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Kulkin, founder of Women’s Institute for Health in Atlanta, Ga., is an internationally recognized laser expert invited to teach continuing medical education seminars in the U.S. and other countries. He has performed over 100,000 aesthetic laser procedures including laser hair removal and laser-assisted lipolysis with over 40,000 performed on ethnic skin types. As a board certified gynecologist Dr. Kulkin is often quoted and featured on a number of television networks for women’s health issues. He is also a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

Todd K. Malan, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Malan is an Associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He received his Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University (Salt Lake City, UT), where he was an All American Scholar. He graduated in the top 10% of his class and with Honors from the University of Arizona College of Medicine (Tucson, Ariz.) in May 1993 and completed a Surgical Internship followed by the completion of residency at Walter Reed Army and Bethesda Naval hospitals in Washington, D.C. Dr. Malan has held academic positions at the Uniformed Services University (Bethesda, Md.), Georgetown, and George Washington Universities (Washington, D.C.).

Tess Mauricio, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Mauricio is an internationally renowned dermatologist specializing in laser treatments, liposculpture and non-invasive rejuvenation. She is a graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine (Stanford, Calif.) and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Mauricio is the founder of the Scripps Ranch Dermatology and Cosmetic Center in San Diego, Calif., with regular television appearances including The Doctors, The Wellness Hour and the Rachael Ray Show.

Sharon McQuillan, M.D.
Dr. McQuillan specializes in aesthetic and anti-aging medicine. She received her undergraduate degree with a combined major in biology and chemistry from Kent State University (Kent, Ohio), then attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine (Columbus, Ohio) where she graduated with honors. She performed her post-doctoral training at Riverside Methodist Hospital (Columbus, Ohio), is board certified in family practice and has studied under many of the world’s leading specialists in aesthetic medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, has been featured in many magazines, lectures on aesthetic medicine for many organizations and owns and operates Ageless Institute (Weston, Fla.).

John A. Millard, M.D.
Dr. Millard is a cosmetic plastic surgeon in the Denver, Colo. area and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine (Washington, D.C.), completed a general surgery residency and then a plastic surgery residency at the prestigious Duke University Medical Center (Durham, N.C.), where he served his final year as chief resident. Dr. Millard is founder of the Advanced Body Sculpting Institute (ABS-Institute) and has been teaching physicians the most advanced techniques in liposuction and body sculpting for more than four years.
Amir Moradi, M.D., F.A.A.C.S., A.B.F.P.R.S.
Dr. Moradi is a board certified facial plastic surgeon in private practice in San Diego, Calif. He graduated summa cum laude in biology and received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. Subsequently he completed his surgical training at Duke University Medical Center (Durham, N.C.). Dr. Moradi serves on multiple committees, is a fellow at Cooperative of American Physicians – Mutual Protection Trust (Los Angeles, Calif. and serves on the cosmetic procedure regulatory committee. Dr. Moradi is a trainer, speaker and consultant for several medical companies and he travels to Mexico quarterly with Thousand Smile Foundation for cleft lip and palate repair.
R. Stephen Mulholland, M.D., F.R.C.S.(C)
Dr. Mulholland is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He graduated as the Horner Silver Medalist and completed his specialty training in plastic surgery at the University of Toronto Medical School (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). Dr. Mulholland has dual certification in plastic surgery and head and neck surgical oncology and focuses his practice on cosmetic plastic surgery. He frequently directs courses for physicians and surgeons around the world on cosmetic surgery and laser skincare topics and has authored over twenty articles and book chapters on cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery topics.
Mark S. Nestor, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Nestor is director of the Center for Cosmetic Enhancement, as well as the Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research in Aventura, Fla., encompassing clinical, surgical and aesthetic dermatology. Dr. Nestor received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the State University of New York, as well as his Ph.D., and medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. Dr. Nestor is board certified in dermatology and recognized as an expert in topical pharmaceuticals, cosmeceuticals, cutaneous laser surgery, photodynamic therapy and the use of dermal fillers and neurotoxins.
Dianne Quibell, M.D.
Dr. Quibell is the vice president of the American Board of Laser Surgery and assistant clinical professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (Boston, Mass.). Since 2000 she has operated MD TLC, a cosmetic medical practice in Wellesley Hills, Mass., and is a renowned lecturer and luminary for several aesthetic technology companies. She has privately trained over 500 clinicians on laser and light-based technologies, neuromodulators and dermal fillers and serves as a faculty member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians and Fellow of the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery.
Jaggi Rao, M.D., F.R.C.P.C.
Dr. Rao is a board certified dermatologist licensed in both Canada and the U.S. He is an associate clinical professor of medicine and the director of dermatology residency program at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). Immediately after completing his dermatology training, Dr. Rao became the first Canadian physician to be accepted to the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship Training Program.
E. Victor Ross, M.D.
Dr. Ross is past president of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and director of laser and cosmetic dermatology at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, Calif. His special interests are laser skin resurfacing, non-ablative skin remodeling, laser treatment of leg veins and acne, as well as laser hair reduction on dark skinned patients. He is the author of over 60 articles and seven book chapters.
Neil Sadick, M.D., F.A.A.D., F.A.A.C.S., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.Ph.
Dr. Sadick holds five board certifications in internal medicine, dermatology, cosmetic surgery, hair restoration surgery and phlebology. He is medical director and owner of Sadick Aesthetic Surgery and Dermatology with three locations in New York. Dr. Sadick is also the director of the Sadick Research Group, which runs multiple FDA clinical trials each year. Presently, Dr. Sadick is actively involved in various research projects in the areas of dermatology, dermal fillers, neurotoxins, cosmetic and dermasurgery, phlebology, cellulite, adipocyte structure and function, stem cells and lasers.
Deborah S. Sarnoff, M.D., F.A.A.D., F.A.C.P.
Dr. Sarnoff is a pioneer in state-of-the-art cosmetic dermatology, lasers and Mohs surgery for the treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Sarnoff is a clinical professor of dermatology at New York University Medical Center (New York, N.Y.) with offices in Manhattan and Greenvale, N.Y., and senior vice president of The Skin Cancer Foundation. Dr. Sarnoff has demonstrated her procedures on television shows including The Today Show, 20/20, Good Morning America, Dateline, The View, Extra and The Doctors. She also co-authored Beauty and the Beam and Instant Beauty: Getting Gorgeous on Your Lunch Break.

Robert J. Schwartz, M.D.
Dr. Schwartz graduated summa cum laude from Yale University (New Haven, Conn.) and was awarded a Regents Scholarship for academic excellence at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine (Los Angeles, Calif.). Dr. Schwartz completed his residency in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (Torrance, Calif.). During this period, he devoted two years to full time research in plastic surgery, which ultimately led to his selection of a plastic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Schwartz is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and is a member of multiple societies.

Jay A. Shorr
Mr. Shorr is vice president of operations and practice administrator for Janee D. Steinberg, M.D., board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon. Mr. Shorr serves as a professional motivational speaker and an advisor to THE Aesthetic Practice Association’s Certified Aesthetic Consultant™ (CAC) program. Mr. Shorr graduated from Temple University (Philadelphia, Pa.), and is a Certified Medical Business Manager (CMBM) and CAC. He co-authored The Compliance Counselor and received the Honorable Mention Award for O/R Excellence in medical financial management. Mr. Shorr is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery - Allied Health Division.
Hema Sundaram, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Sundaram is a board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon in suburban Washington, D.C., with masters and medical degrees from Cambridge University (Cambridge, U.K.), and a fellowship from the National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, Md.). She is an FDA investigator and chairs medical education initiatives for injectables, lasers and body contouring. She has lectured at conferences including annual AAD and ASAPS meetings, is an advisor to Medscape, the Health Central Network and Fitness magazine, as well as cosmetic surgery editor of Practical Dermatology. Her book, Face Value, was honored by the National Press Club. Dr. Sundaram appears regularly on television and radio and is quoted in publications including The New York Times, USA Today, Good Housekeeping, Allure and Cosmopolitan.

Farhan Taghizadeh, M.D.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from Yale University (New Haven, Conn.), Dr. Taghizadeh attended medical school at Penn State University (University Park, Pa.). He completed his residency at University of Rochester (Rochester, N.Y.) and post-residency fellowship was at the University of Bern (Bern, Switzerland). Dr. Taghizadeh has authored numerous publications and received many honors. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Carl R. Thornfeldt, M.D.
Dr. Thornfeldt is president, CEO and chief scientific officer of Episciences, Inc. (Boise, Idaho). He is a dermatologist with 25 years of skin research experience, 21 U.S. patents and more than 20 scientific publications in the area of treatment of skin. Epionce® technology was developed based on Dr. Thornfeldt’s skin research linking the effects of two damaging biological processes in the skin: chronic inflammation and disruption of the skin’s natural protective barrier. He is co-author of the book, The New Ideal in Skin Health, published in January 2010.

Elizabeth VanderVeer, M.D.
Dr. VanderVeer is a board certified internist and medical director at VanderVeer Center (Portland, Ore.). Dr. VanderVeer is a published author and member of the American College of Physicians and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, as well as medical advisor to THE Aesthetic Practice Association™. She frequently appears on local/national television as a medical / anti-aging expert, and was featured in Woman’s World magazine. The Dr. V Show airs weekly on KXL Newsradio AM 750 focusing on health, wellness, diet, nutrition and cosmetic medicine.
Greg Washington, Sr.
Mr. Washington is president and CEO of Patients Unlimited Marketing Consultants (PUMC) in Los Angeles, Calif., a 36 year old, international, SEO Internet marketing firm. PUMC pioneered the art of re-engineering aesthetic practices to promote services for revenue growth and has consulted for more 650 aesthetic specialists to date. PUMC was one of the first agencies to show clients how to successfully incorporate medical spa services into their practices and has aided leading cosmetic surgeons and aesthetic specialists in America, Canada, Australia and Tokyo, Japan.
William Philip Werschler, M.D., F.A.A.D., F.A.A.C.S.
Dr. Werschler is an assistant clinical professor of medicine/ dermatology at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Wash., a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Werschler is an internationally recognized expert in BOTOX® and dermal filler injection techniques and has a private practice in medical, surgical and aesthetic dermatology.
